Research Title
Short Description:
Poverty Study in Pakistan
A comprehensive study on single and multidimensional poverty was conducted using a cross-sectional dataset from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics' Household Integrated Economic Survey (HIES) from 2013-14 to 2018-19.
Methodology
The study employed three key approaches:
1. Indexing measures: Evaluated single and multidimensional poverty outcomes, including population decomposition for single-dimensional measures and dimensional decomposition for multidimensional measures at national, sub-national, and divisional levels, as well as within two distinct communities in Pakistan.
2. Multidimensional poverty analysis: Examined the correlates of poverty in a multidimensional context.
